The budget airline, Vueling, has initiated an air route between Granada Airport and London Gatwick, providing three flights a week.
These three flights fall on a Tuesday, Thursday and a Saturday. Flights leave Gatwick at 16.50h on Tuesdays, 13.10h on Thursdays and 16.00h on Saturdays.
Outbound flights leave at 21.05h, 17.25h and 20.20h respectively. Flight duration is two hours, forty minutes.
Obviously, the Provincial Council, which has subsidised airlines that operate out of Granada in the past, is an extremely happy bunny, as this move is effectively the reestablishment of an air connection that existed before the pandemic struck.
The Provincial MP, Enrique Medina, said, “the United Kingdom is one of the most important international markets for Granada and these flights are going to facilitate the normal flow of tourists enormously.”
