On Tuesday 14th December at 17.00h in the Salobreña auditorium we have another well produced film, The Last Bus (2021).
The superb British actor, Timothy Spalls plays an elderly man, Tom. The reviews say to bring boxes of tissues with you as it is very emotional. The acting is excellent and the scenery from Cornwall to Scotland beautiful. I’m looking forward to it and hope to see lots of you there so the films continue to be shown.
The film is in English with Spanish subtitles. It costs five euros and masks must be worn throughout the film. This is a condition decided by Nuria and her husband for putting on films for us. And I agree with that.
Today I visited the art exhibition upstairs in the Salobreña library and saw the paintings by Nadia Ayoub. It was well worth going as the paintings were vibrant and inspiring and especially clever were the carved avocado stones. It is only on from now until Wednesday 15th of December at 11.00h until 13.30h and again in the afternoon at 18.00h – 20.00h.
Although it doesn’t say this on the posters, the artist said that it was also going to be open on Saturday and Sunday morning when the Ecomercado is on in Salobreña’s closed market. Hope she is right as this gives us more time to see an excellent exhibition.
