The painter from San Sebastian, Juan Ilarraiz, who resides in Almuñécar, donated the 1,454 euros generated from the sale of four of his paintings to the AECC.

Conchi García, who represents the local branch of the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC), accompanied by Rosi Santiago, accepted the donation on behalf of the association.

There were another 46 euros that had been deposited in a collection tin within the Sala de La Galería where the exhibition was held.

Association Chairwoman García gave thanks to Sr. Ilarraiz for the donation of his works to the AECC so that they could be sold to raise funds.

The artist explained that some 1,400 people had visited the painting exhibition for which he was very grateful, not only those that had bought the paintings but to each and every one of the visitors. He also praised the labour of the AECC and all their volunteers.
