The primary school in La Herradura is having work carried out in time for the school year, involving the bathrooms and access for pupils with mobility problems.
The Colegio Público de Enseñanza Infantil y Primaria, CEIP Las Gaviotas has received a grant of 170,000 euros from the Regional Board of Education to cover this adaptation and renovation work.
As far as accessibility goes, there will be a ramp to access the building and a lift to reach the first floor.
The renovation work, on the other hand, is mainly centred upon the bathrooms on the first floor, too.
Also included is work on the electric installations, floors, doors, windows and blinds, explained Councillor Barbero.
