Town Hall workers in Almuñécar were busy yesterday removing fallen trees and branches etc that came down after the last three days of rain.

The damage was caused along the Torrecuevas road near the cemetery as well as in front of Playa Cotobro where a mimosa tree came down bringing with it a small rockfall onto the said road.

Lastly, the Almuñécar fire service was sent in to cut up another tree so that it could be removed within the Urbanización Cotobro.

Fortunately nobody was hurt when any of the trees came down nor was there damage to private property, such as vehicles.
