Know Who’s Calling

If you're 80 or over you're probably waiting for a phone call from the medical centre to tell you it's your turn for the jab.

GRA Your Doctor CallingThe trouble is we are all used to being bombarded by telesales; phone companies that want to push their products and so we don’t trust numbers we don’t recognise.

For this reason the Sevicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS) has come up with a universal number for all medical centres within Granada so that people will recognise it and know who is calling – other provinces have different numbers.

The number is:

958 800 008.

Up until now, users would see a telephone number about a dozen numbers long, because they come through the medical-central switchboard.

So, hopefully, little by little, these long-number calls will be replaced by the one above, making it easier for people to know that it is the medical centre informing you of your jab appointment.

Rita: the number within the article in large-font bold is the number for Granada: hence 958 800 008…

As explained in the article, each province has the same 6-digit number but obviously with the provincial prefix (Granada = 958 800 008).

As the Junta supplied the photo, it used the Sevilla prefix (955 800 008), where the regional parliament is based.

If the reader is reaching us from the Axarquía, the prefix would be 952 800 008.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

Hello, Is the telephone number 958800008 or 955800008. Two conflicting numbers. Thank you
