If you have any doubts on what you are permitted to do or not allowed to do tonight and tomorrow, this might interest you.
First of all, family and close friends can come to your house today and tomorrow, crossing into Andalucía, if necessary from another region. This permitted mobility came into force yesterday and lasts until the 6th of January.
Being able to move within Andalucía; i.e., crossing provinces, came into being before, on the 18th. This means that 2nd-home owners can come down to the coast from Granada, for example, to spend the Christmas period here.
Bars and restaurants must close during two hours between 18.00h and 20.00h. After that they can stay open tonight until 01.00h meaning that some restaurants will be offering a Christmas-Eve Dinner. Only Cafeterías can remain open between 18.00h and 20.00h but during that time they cannot serve alcohol.
As for how many people can be in your home tonight and during Christmas Day, the limit is ten people including children. There is no limitation on ‘family bubbles’ so you can have relatives and even close friends. Seeing as there is no possible way of policing who is who in your house, other than how many people there are, you can have your friends over. That’s our observation, not a recommendation to bend the rules.
Tonight the curfew doesn’t kick in until 01.30h and lasts until 06.00h on Christmas Day.
So, you can eat at home or in a restaurant, if you can find one open, but you must be off the streets by 01.30h.
Merry Christmas everybody 😉
