A fault in the engine caused a car to burn on the A-44 where it passes through Padul, ending up almost completely burnt out.

According to the Guardia Civil, the driver had enough time to pull off the autovía on the Padul junction (Exit 144/Suspiro de Moro junction) and abandon the car on the hardshoulder of the roundabout, more or less next to the gasolinera… but at a safe distance.

The fire service was soon at the scene and managed to put it out without incident. Nobody was hurt.
