More Policing Needed in Nerja

NRJ Pleno in MasksThere are a lot of empty properties in Nerja because their foreign owners can’t get here to occupy them, something that burglars well know.

Precisely because of the increase in the number of burglaries on several urbanizaciones in Nerja, the Vice-Chairwoman of the Asociación de Presidentes de Comunidades de Urbanizaciones Nerjeñas, APCUN, Janette Waddington, met with the Mayor, José Alberto Armijo, at the Town Hall to communicate their growing concern over the lack of security and request a greater police presence.

Also present at the meeting was the Chief of Police, Francisco Iranzo, as well as several councillors.

The Mayor holds periodic meetings with community representatives to discuss municipal affairs, other points were also discussed, such as the new, cycle lane and progress on the sewage-treatment plant, etc.
