Nine Cars Broken Into

MOT Campo de FootballThe Motril Policía Local arrested several individuals aged between 20 and 25 years old, suspected of breaking into at least nine parked cars.

The incident was reported on Wednesday night when somebody phoned in to say that there were three men hanging around suspiciously next to parked cars behind the Municipal Football Ground.

Policía Nacional patrol cars were rapidly despatched and officers began searching the area. They soon came upon three men matching the description given by the caller but when challenged they fled with the police pursuing on foot.

The chase led through several nearby streets before two of them were caught, followed by the third. Searched immediately, the police found ID and other personal items not belonging to them that had come from the raided nine cars. The police suspect that there could have been more cars broken into.

Furthermore, the police suspect that the suspects had burgled a house before finishing the night’s work by turning over the said cars.
