The Mayor of Salobreña, María Eugenia Rufino, is worried so she has used social media to call on residents and visitors to exercise caution concerning the pandemic.

The reason being is that during the last seven days seven cases of Covid-19 have been detected within the town’s population of 12,000 inhabitants.

She says the increase has been “exponential” because in the last six months only 18 cases had been detected in Salobreña and yet in the last two weeks that have been another eleven added.
