The pandemic has delayed many maintenance tasks around Almuñécar, one of which is strimming rural lanes, which at last is under way.

Work this week has been along the access lane for the Barrio La Mezquita (La Herradura) and surroundings.

The Department of Agriculture and the Environment has also been working around the Casa Adelfa, Loma del Gato (where the fire recently was) and the Tarmay Alto.

The First Councillor for La Herradura explained how things had been delayed by tasks with a higher priority since the pandemic began but said that the strimming of the roadside vegetation along rural lanes would continue and would be moving on to the Pago de Guerra.

Owing to the heat typical of August, the strimming work commences at 07.00h and concludes at 13.00h.
