The provincial tax office has accepted the request made by Almuñécar Town Hall to allow IBI payments be made as late as the 20th of November without a surcharge.

In other words, the voluntary period for paying the 2020 IBI property tax, during which no penalty will be incurred, has been put back to November.

This measure has been introduced to make things easier for property owners, given these difficult times, explained the Councillor for Hacienda, Rafael Caballero.

Almuñécar could not make this decision itself as the Provincial Council collects such municipal taxes for town halls to save them the cost of running their own tax office. This services is provided free of charge to town halls.
