The Mayor of Salobreña, María Eugenia Rufino, announced that as of Monday the beach road will be pedestrianised.

For this reason motorised traffic will be limited to trade vehicles (deliveries) and of course emergency-services vehicles.

She also announced that check points would remain in place this weekend to prevent people coming down from inland Granada to occupy their second-home properties.

This announcement was made prior to the news that Granada would be held back at Stage Zero with all that it entails, which even so, shouldn’t affect this traffic reorganisation.
