An 80-year-old patient who was being treated for coronavirus infection at the Hospital General del Virgen de las Nieves took his own life.

The police are investigating his death and have examined the room in which the man was found hanging. Hospital staff found him yesterday morning in one of the side wards for people who do not require the ICU.

This is the second suicide at this hospital – the first suicide took place on the 28th when a man fell from a 7th-floor window. .

On the other hand, this hospital used three floors of the building for Covid-19 patients at the height of the outbreak but at the moment it is only using one as the demanded has declined.
