Two hotels in Almuñécar, Hotel Bahía Tropical and Hotel Bahía Almuñécar and one in Herradura, Hotel Peña Parda Bay have offered their installations as hospitals.

If it were to become necessary they would open their doors and become temporary hospitals, providing beds for Covid 19 patients.

The Councillor for Tourism, Daniel Barbero, expressed his thanks in the name of the Town Council: “We are speechless with gratitude for this offer during this public-health emergency and wish that it passes and soon as possible so that they can get back to normal business as a sign of the recuperation of our local tourism,” he said.
