A man involved in a traffic accident was found to have small drug packages in his intestines when X-rayed for chest injuries – he was arrested.

This discovery was made at the Hospital de la Axarquía on the 21s of January after a collision between a car and a van on the A-356 near El Trapiche. The arrested man had been driving the car and his passenger died in the accident.

The 36-year-old Moroccan national was found to have 71 hashish balls hidden in his lower intestine.
