Woman in Molvízar Accident

MOT Molvizar Road AccidentYesterday, fire personnel from Almuñécar had to pull out a woman from a crashed car  in Molvízar after she came off the GR-5303 where it passes through that municipality.

The 40-year-old victim is reported to be a foreign resident although her exact nationality is not known.

Apparently, the fire personnel had to pull her out from beneath the car after it slipped backwards on top of her. They also had to ensure that the vehicle didn’t topple further down the bank.

Once she was freed, she was taken to Hospital Santa Ana for a check up, even though she didn’t appear to have suffered any injuries

The accident happened in the early afternoon of Wednesday in the area known as La Palmilla, near the Molvízar rambla.

But it was a busy day for the Almuñécar fire service because not long after returning they were called out again to put out a fire in a flat in Edificio Drago on Calle Bikini in Almuñécar. The fire had started in the kitchen when a frying pan full of cooking oil caught fire. Fortunately, the fire didn’t cause much damage although it did fill the dwelling with smoke.
