Salobreña Town Hall has started sprucing up the Plaza del Lavadero, in la Caleta.
More accurately, they’re pruning and eliminating excess vegetation on the bank on the right-hand side of the lane leading down to the said square.
The Councillor for La Caleta, Ignacio Trujillo, explained that a private company specialised in “vertical pruning” (lopping off branches from trees, etc) has been hired for the task. Also included are three different sections of the bank opposite the old factory.
“This clean up will also do away with rodents and insects that have been causing problems for the locals in that areas,” said the councillor, adding that the said work should take three days.
