The Classic Club Salubinia will be holding its annual bike meet, the VI Concentración de Motos Clásicas on the 15th of this month.

Last year 130 classic bikes took part and this year is probably going to be bigger, the organisers consider.

The Salobreña-based bike club was founded in 2012 with the first meet taking place the following year. Since then it has attracted participants from Málaga, Jaén and Almería, with some even coming down from Ciudad Real (Castilla-La Mancha).

So what time and where? The meet-up point is the Town Hall Square on the morning of the said date. From there, the bikes will set off on a slow cruise through the comarca (Costa Tropical and the Alpujarra).

The Chairman of the Classic Club Salubinia, Antonio Vacas, expressed their gratitude for the cooperation offered by the Town Hall, with its logistical support. He also pointed out that the club also helps in promoting the tourist image of the town, not only by bringing people in, but when their own members travel to the bike meets.

If you have a classic bike then inscription begins at 08.00h on the 15th in the said square. To be eligible, you bike need only be 20 years old or more. It also has to be completely legal; i.e., with its ITV and Insurance up to date.
