Body on Beach Identified

SAL Drowned WomanThe woman’s body found floating off a Salobreña beach has been identified to be that of a 79-year-old woman from Zaidín in Granada.

The Guardia Civil were able to report the victim’s identity to the next-of-kin, thanks to the fingerprints taken – Spanish IDs have the holder’s fingerprints on them.

The body had been discovered this Tuesday some 15 metres off the beach known as La Charca, which is next to the Peñon and the autopsy was carried out the following day.
