With the strike being called off at 20.00h on Wednesday, the municipal, refuse-cleaning company worked flat out to clear up the accumulated mess.
The full fleet of ten rubbish lorries and 33 workers & drivers worked through out the night to leave the streets empty of refuse before yesterday morning; the first official, Easter bank holiday.
Furthermore, the workers’ union has apologised to the people of Motril, but not without putting the blame on the local council for “handling the situation badly.”
