A man was stabbed by a passerby whilst he was cleaning a shop window on Calle Fina in Motril yesterday.
The attacker, who apparently carried out the knife attack without uttering a word, later claimed that the victim, whom he didn’t know, had “looked at him funny.”
The suspect, who has a criminal record, was arrested by the Policía Local.
The victim had received the knife wound to the neck but luckily for him the wound had narrowly missed his jugular vein, He was taken to Hospital Santa Ana but his life was not described as being in danger.
Over on the other side of Motril the Policía Nacional are looking for a man who held up a gasoline station brandishing a large knife. He managed to hide his identity with a hood and mask. He got away with the contents of the till.
The targeted petrol station was La Posta, which is up at the top of Motril, right opposite the fighter-jet on display, which, by the way, is a Saeta and was designed by the WW2 German, aircraft designer, Willy Messerschmitt, for the Spanish Air Force in the 50s.
