The annual Colour Run in Motril on the 28th is going to bring about traffic restrictions, confirmed the Councillor for Citizen Safety, María Ángeles Escámez.

The run will be taking place between 09.45h a 11.00h affecting several streets (oh joy!). The route is as follows: Avda. Ntra. Sra. de la Cabeza, Ronda del Mediodía, Aguas del Hospital, Avda. Dr. Norman Bethune, (rotonda), Avda. Ntra. Sra. de la Cabeza, Avda. Fco. Gijón Díaz, Parque de los Pueblos de América, Cercado de la Virgen and Paseo de las Explanadas.

The Colour Run will actually begin at 10.00h, according to the plan, setting off from the Recinto de La Alcoholera, and will cover three kilometres.

Because the runners actually hit the road at 10.00h, the affected streets will be closed 15 minutes before by the Policía Local, so the councillor, bless her cotton socks, recommends staying away from the southern access roads to the town; the port road, for instance.

Our advice is if you’re planning on driving to Motril, then give it a wide berth until after 11.00h.
