Mark your calendar! Grab some gloves and a bucket and join Asociación Playa Patrol at one of our 2019 Beach Clean Ups.
We will be cleaning up Playa La Herradura along with Playa Velilla and Playa San Cristóbal in Almuñécar on all three dates! Event dates are as follows:
Saturday March 23 – Spring Clean the Beach! (remember that March 21 is the first official day of Spring)
Sunday June 30 – Post San Juan Micro-Plastic, Beach Clean-Up
Sunday September 22 – International Coastal Clean Up Day (this year we are joining in the global beach clean up day)
Playa Patrol is currently seeking 45 Team Captains so that we have 15 teams in each location. Even if your schedule only allows you to join us once, we’d love to have you! All you need to do is find 10-15 friends to join you!
Beach Clean Ups run from 10am until 11:30am.
Zones will be assigned closer to event dates.
This is a kid-friendly event. There is no fee to register.
More information about the event will be available soon.
If you would like to be a Team Captain, please contact Ann@Playa-Patrol.com or call +34.690.773.507 (English) or + 34.681.620.593 (Spanish).
We are also seeking Ocean Ambassadors to help coordinate future beach clean up events in Salobreña and Motril so that we can continue to help keep our sea plastic-free.

About Asociación Playa Patrol: Think globally and act locally to help keep our sea plastic free. Key focus areas include large scale beach clean ups and the occasional impromptu surprise clean ups based on urgent calls from the public, youth and school programs along with working with local business owners to stop using plastic straws.
