A lad from Salobreña won a Bronze Medal for Karate in the European championships, which were held in Denmark last weekend.
Daniel Martín, aged 19, competed last week in the Europa Cadete, Junior and Sub 21 levels in the Danish town of Aalborg.
The Mayor of Salobreña, María Eugenia Rufino, sent him her most sincere congratulations, as Daniel is already amongst the elite in karate on a national level and is beginning to be noticed internationally. He achieved high marks last June in Japan, for example.
Over 1, 000 young karatekas from 51 European countries took part in the 2019 EKF Junior, Cadet & U21 Championships, which were held between the 8th and 10th of this month.
