Almuñécar fire personnel put a fire out in a paint workshop in Torrecuevas during the early hours of the yesterday morning.

The affected workshop is situated on the ground floor of a block of flats (Nº 87).

The emergency number 112 received a call at 01.31h from a neighbour to say that there was smoke coming out of a ground-floor premises.

The three firemen on duty at the Almuñécar fire station arrived and it took over an hour to put the fire out, helped by two municipal policemen and the Guardia Civil.

The Spokesperson for the fire service said that the fire was out and the fire personnel were back at the station by 02.40h.
