There was a house fire yesterday in Almuñécar after a family left something cooking on the ceramic hob whilst they went out shopping.

The fire was reported around 13.00h in the Plaza de Madrid but fortunately, it all ended in just a scare as damage was minimal.

Even so, it had the neighbours out in force witnessing the Almuñécar fire service racing into the square with sirens blaring.
