The Plaza de la Constitución in Almuñécar, better known as the Town Hall Square amongst foreigners, will be the venue for a charity, book fair.
The Catholic Church charity (Cáritas) will be holding its IV Feria Benéfica del Libro Usado on the 26th and 27th of the month with the aim of funding investigation into childhood cancer.
The market will run from 10.00h to 21.00h during Friday the 26th and from 10.00h to 14.00 on Saturday. On sale will be novels in many different languages, as well as travel books and encyclopaedias, etc. Carítas, which received a large donation of encyclopaedias, urges people to buy them out of solidarity.
Finally, they remind our readers that those of you who might want to donate books to the fair are very welcome to and these donations will be greatly appreciated. Those who wish to do so will find the parish offices on Calle Cariñena, in front of the Colegio Virgen de la Antigua.
