The Motril Town Hall has admitted that since 4G coverage was introduced into Motril on the 800MHz band, TV reception has gone downhill.
In the days of analogical TV, there wouldn’t have been a problem but since the TDT (Terrestrial Digital TV) was introduced, it’s a different story because the 800MHz frequency had been previously used for digital TV. The TV stations that used that frequency lost their licences and ceased to transmit.
Telefónica, Vodafone an Orange now offer LTE 4G mobile phone coverage in Motril using that frequency and offer a free web service for people who now find that there TV reception has taken a nose dive: Llega800. There’s also a freephone: 900 833 999.
