Almuñécar’s Two New Fire Vehicles

ALM New Bombero VehiclesThe Almuñécar Fire Service has received two new vehicles from the Consorcio Provincial (fire-service administration) in collaboration with the Provincial Council.

The local fire station received the two vehicles worth a total of 349,578 euros, one of which is a light vehicle used for urban fire-fighting and rescues (320,324 euros) and the other is a command vehicle (29,254 euros).

These vehicles will join the fleet stationed in Almuñécar, which has to provide cover for Molvízar, Otívar, Ítrabo, Jete and Lentegí, as well as Almuñécar and La Herradura. These towns and villages have a combined population of 33,000 people.

The Mayor mentioned how the Almuñécar fire station has evolved from pattern-hut installations in Taramay to being housed in the municipal sports stadium before arriving at its present location in a modern, purpose-built installation.
