Motril’s doggy beach; Playa del Cable, has turned out to be a great success, allowing dogs and their owners to walk the beach and enjoy the water.
This canine luxury, known officially as Playacan, is the only one in the province – on most other beaches on the Costa Tropical you can get fined for having your mutt there in summer.
The beach is 1,500 metres long, so there is a bit of exercise for both you and your defecating quadruped.
The Councillor for Beaches and Tourism, Alicia Crespo, claimed, “our town continues to be an example for other towns on the Costa Tropical.” She went on to say that she had received many emails and phone calls, requesting information on the said beach from all over the province of Granada as well as other areas of Spain.
