A man died in the early hours of last Saturday when his car went down a barranco on the A-4142 in Alfarnate in the Axarquía.
The emergency number 112 received an alert just after midnight from an ambulance; the ambulance driver caught sight of the vehicle by chance as he was returning from a call-out.
The Control Centre sent out the Guardia Civil and another ambulance, as well as the fire service
When they arrived it was to find that the 34-year-old driver was already dead, probably killed in the fall.
In case you hadn’t realised, the reason for this article’s title is that there have been two other accidents earlier in the month, involving cars going off the road and down barrancos: one was to the north of Otívar on the Cabra road on the 12th of June and the other on a track leading down to Playa El Cañuelo in Maro on the 15th.
