Costas has finished the repair work along the Paseo de Reina Sofía (Almuñécar) sea wall, between the water park and the groyne.
The structure had taken a good beating from a storm in March, so this repair work was carried out relatively quickly and well in time for summer.
The Central Government spent 242,000 euros on the repair project, setting an execution period of only two months, with work beginning at the beginning of May.
A total of 250 lineal metres of sea-defence work were knocked back into shape by the construction company Meridional, bringing in hundreds of tonnes of boulders for the task.
The Town Hall, on the other hand, has the responsibility of replacing the sand that was swept away at the other end of the water park, where the boat slipway is.
