A 57-year-old man was injured after a knifing incident in Gualchos, which is a small village just above Castell de Ferro.
The victim was stabbed in the thigh, which required ten stitches. After being treated at Hospital Santa Ana he was sent home.
The emergency number 112 received a call at 03.10h on Saturday the 3rd from a man who said that he had just had a heated argument with his flatmate, which had ended in his being attacked with a knife. The emergency-call centre immediately despatched an ambulance and a Guardia Civil patrol.
After receiving a full description of the aggressor the police tracked down the suspect and arrested him; a 43-year-old, Moroccan man.
