I popped in to see Miguel, the owner of both Más Que Tapas in town and Restaurante Reina Sofía , which has long since been an Almuñécar dining favourite.
Well, after a couple of months in refurb, Reina Sofía has opened up again… and it’s beautiful! The decor is tasteful, modern and yet still retains a really cozy feel. It was good before, so to improve on that is an achievement in itself.
Miguel also told me to inform you lucky readers that on the 16th of this month they are putting on a special, wine-tasting event, where you sample several wines and a tapa to compliment each… the final wine being served with a dessert-type tapa. At just €20 euros, this is not to be missed.
Later in the month 29th/30th Miguel and the team will be serving a Cena Maridaje; this will consist of six courses, all served with Andalusian wines… this event is just €35 – a real March bargain.
Go on, visit Restaurante Reina Sofía and have a look just how cool the place looks and maybe try a dish or two. Top restaurant, with top food prepared by one of Almuñécar’s top chefs.a
