The Delegate from the business association of Costa Tropical beaches was present at the Expoplayas in Torremolinos on the 23rd of February.
The fair, which was held in the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos, gave the Chairman of the said business association the opportunity to point out the grave situation concerning three beach-based businesses in Almuñécar and La Herradura to the Junta representative there.
He was referring to the order from the Ministry of the Environment to move long-established business premises from their present location to the ends of the beaches; something which is entirely unsuitable from a safety point of view, as well as being physically impossible because the area is already occupied, in the case of La Herradura.
The posture of the Costa Tropical association is backed both by the national association (FESEMPLA) and the regional one (FAEPLAYAS).
The Junta representative said that he supported the Costa Granada delegate’s position and said that he would mediate with the Central Government, which has competence over the nation’s beaches (Departamento de Costas).
