It Never Rains But It Pours

GRA La Marcha 01Sometimes you can just have too many customers, which is what happened to a cafeteria in the centre of Granada on New Year’s morning.

As the business is a bar-cafeteria, the owner has licencing hours from six in the morning, which, unfortunately, was the time that all the night bars closed.

So, expecting a few early-morning workers turning up for breakfast, instead the bar owner watched in horror as dozens of revellers, all the worse for wear, piled into the bar.

Realising that there was no way that he could cope with the numbers – and nobody was paying any attention to his asking them to leave – he denounced himself to the police… saying that there were too many people in his bar.

When they arrived he explained the situation and they emptied the bar for him without fining him for having more people than his licence permitted.

Now that many customers spaced out over a week… but of course, it never rains but it pours…
