Around a thousand schoolchildren – amongst them young Jack Darby – visited the waterpark in Almuñécar for a lesson in the Highway Code.

Children from 8-years old to 12-years old, from both schools in Almuñécar and La Herradura, had a first-hand accounter with traffic signs, road junctions etc, thanks to the Caravana de Educación Vial de la Fundación MAPFRE, with the collaboration of the Policía Local.

The road circuits etc had been mounted in Aquatropic and kids were quizzed on how to use a zebra crossing and on the importance of roadsigns in general, as well as being to drive a cart around the circuit.

As they grow older, they will learn Spanish popular road usage; i.e., indicators are for decorative use only and roundabout are to be tackled depending on how you feel on the day.
