An Almuñécar man is facing a 4.5-year sentence for beating up another man back in June 2013.

It was in the early hours of the 2nd of June of that year when the accused, Antonio B.R. walked into the Plaza de Madrid, accompanied by other people, whose idendities have not been established.

For reasons that are unclear, he began to punch the victim in the face and when he fell to the ground, proceeded to kick him. The victim suffered several fractures as well as a broken nose and the lose of teeth, both on the upper and lower jaw.

The Public Prosecutor recommended four years, six months imprisonment and that he be ordered to pay all the court costs. The trial has been scheduled for the 19th of this month in Granada.
