Parts of Motril were plunged into darkness due to a power failure during the night of Saturday the 2nd. It is thought that the blackout was caused by a transformer failure.

Couldn’t have happened at a worse time, as the restaurants were packed with tourists and locals. Street lighting was also off for over an hour.

What makes things worse is that it is the second Saturday in a row that Motril has been hit by power cuts.
