Shopkeepers in Motril are holding the town’s first Feria de Stock, which started yesterday and will run until this Saturday, the 26th.

Organised by the Town Hall with the collaboration of the Provincial Chamber of Commerce and local traders, the idea is to envigorate sales, offering their stock by putting much of it out in front of the shops and offering discount prices on end-of-season items.

Councillor for Trade, Susana Feixas, pointed out that Motril has always been a reference point for commerce in the area.

Other initiatives that the Chamber of Commerce is working on for future events is a free-parking-ticket campaign for shoppers using the town-centre shopping area, as well as seasonal trade fairs.
