Residents of Calle Real in La Herradura say that they have spent two years complaining about a “rubbish dump” full of rubble and building waste in the centre of the village.
It’s not only a case of it being unsightly but is also a case of the dust and the smell, because building waste is not the only thing dumped there. Dogs also appear to use it as a public toilet with or without the guidance of their owners.
What the disgruntled locals want is for the Town Hall to fence it off. We’re talking about where Calle Real meets the Barranco del Espinar.
The locals say that they get sympathetic responses but absolutely no action from the Town Hall, so now the PA Councillor, Juan Carlos Rodríguez de Haro, has weighed in calling for the First Councillor for the village, Sr. Ruiz Joya, “to assume his responsibilities and find a solution.”
