You may have noticed that La Herradura has a new urbanización. How did that happen? Did somebody just plonk it down. No, it had been going up for some time.
This mystery urbanización, La Reserva de La Herradura, is on the back lane that runs between San José church, more or less, and Punta de la Mona.
The top entrance had been looking new and gleaming, but was until recently closed off by a fence. Then the Town Hall gave the First Phase of a residential entity a First-Occupation Certificate. This First Phase comprises of 35 dwellings.
Now, it has taken seven years to get this far; i.e., from the first earth movements to finishing the said housing, not to mention 20m euros.
There’s still enough room on the plot (60,000 sq/m) for another 45 dwellings as the first 35 dwellings (each of 220 sq/m) have taken up half the plot.
Finally, space has been set aside for a hotel (3,000 sq/m) and green areas (6,000 sq/m)
