A mother and father drowned of a beach in Guardamar del Segura (Alicante); they had been staying at a campsite with their two daughters, aged 16 and 11-years old, as well as with a nephew.
The incident occurred Wednesday the 19th at 10.00h on Playa Tusales where a red flag had been flying. The ambulance personnel could not do anything to resuscitate the couple, aged 48 and 39.
So far this year 246 people have drowned in Spain – the worse figures in three years.
