The good folk of La Herradura – and the bad folk, too – will be relieved to hear that the work on the paseo is winding down for the summer.
The work was going to pause on the 30th of June, but – and quite sensibly – the cut off date will now be the 23rd; i.e., San Juan.
Between now and the 23rd they are going to tarmac from the sewage pumping station up to Calle Eucalipto. At the moment, work is most visible in front of the statue, Hombre del Mar; i.e., more or less where the Acera de Pilar is (beach-mainroad return road)
Whilst the road is up they will be replacing the sewage pipes, laying separate rain-drainage pipes, as well as updating the electricity and phone lines.
