SPN Bouncy Castle AccidentSeven children were hurt when a bouncy castle in Girona was first reported to have exploded, flying off some 40 metres with the children inside, three of whom were seriously injured.

The kiddies attraction was situated in Restaurante Mas Oller in Caldes de Malavella.

The badly injured victims are a 9-year-old boy and two girls aged six and seven. The other four children were cut and bruised but apart from that were lucky to escape so lightly.

The accident occurred at 15.46h for reasons unknown and within minutes seven ambulances were at the scene of the incident.

To give you an idea of what distance it covered, the bouncy castle flew over the roof of a restaurant. The restaurant had installed the kiddies’ attraction of the 14th of March, as somewhere that children could play whilst their parents dined.

Spanish sources no longer speak of an explosion but of it “elevating and flying off 40 metres.”
