Recent power cuts in Almuñécar and La Herradura have the locals worried that Semana Santa will have the same kind of black outs as last year, with the town packed out with tourists.

Two main electricity lines had problems last week; one in the Altillo area on Sunday the 26th and the other in the Barrio de La Paloma the following day, according to the utility company, Endesa.

The Mayor has insisted that the company, Endesa-Sevillana, change the faulty power lines, which is being done.

Recently the company has changed the line between Plaza Madrid and Plaza de la Rosa.
