Around 120 Salobreña school children took part in the I Trail CADEBA, which was a cross-country race that also took in La Caleta streets.
The distance depended on the ages, so that the youngest (five to 8-year olds) ran 1,500 metres whilst the oldest (13 to 14-year olds) ran 3,000 metres in this provincial-level event.
As was the case with the I Cross Escolar Villa de Salobreña, the inscription cost of one euro will go towards school material/equipment in the municipality’s schools.
Most participants came from the ranks of Caleta’s own junior school, the Colegio San Juan de Ávila de La Caleta, (45 runners) followed by the Mayor Zaragoza school with 34 runners. The lobres junior school contributed five runners.
