Early this morning, burglars broke into the lottery office in Plaza de la Rosa in Almuñécar, causing considerable damage to the point of entry.

Surprisingly, it appears that nobody heard the thieves rip the bars from the side window, which is on Calle Aduena Vieja.

According to the lottery-office owner, Carolina Rodríguez, they made off with the cash box, as well as full sheets of lottery tickets, worth a considerable sum.

The Guardia Civil have searched the scene of the burglary, taking finger prints etc, as well as the video images recorded by the shop’s security camera.
